Baan Kang Mung is a recently restored old style Hua Hin house painted in traditional white. With only 9 rooms, designed in a different mix of modern yet traditional style of decoration, you will be assured of comfort and easy living.

Baan Kang Mung is situated in moo Baan Kao Takiab, Hua Hin town, only 40 meters walking distance from the beautiful 4 kilometers stretch of white sandy beach and clear sea.

Baan Kang Mung provides a cool colonial style atmosphere in an open plan common living room with an outdoor verandah style dining area. Jazz and easy listening music provides the perfect atmosphere for you to relax whilst enjoying a cup of fine coffee or tea, at breakfast time, or a glass of wine before lunch or dinner. Follow Petchkasam Road leads to Takiab Mountain which call Takiab Road, drive through the fisherman's village for 300 meters, there will be a 7/11 shop - a convenient store on the left hand side by the sea coast,

- For Kang Mung on the beach : drive further on Takiab Road for 100 meters , there will be a small 2 stories Thai house on the left side corner, turn left into that small lane 20 meters - turn right through the narrow lane - you will reach Kang Mung - on the beach.
- For Kang Mung -Takiab Village : drive further on Takiab Road for another 100 meters , a white 2 stories wooden house on the sea coast is Baan Kang Mung Takiab Village.

Nice small hotel in heart of Thao Pokiab village. Room is stylish and clean. All equipment worked well. Staff was very frendly, smiling and helphul. Breakfast didn t have big variety of choice but included fruits, toasts, juice in addition to eggs. A beach is located just behing the hotel, but does not have beach services like umbrellas, sun beds and so on. You need walk about 10 minutes to reach nice beach behind Thao Takiab rock.

We d switched to a one bdrm seafront-was beautiful, beach practically at our doorstep..! But be careful of mosquitoes-there were lots. Breakfast was nice and the staff helpful. Met Owner Pum-she was gracious!!

It s a lovely holiday that I ve spend with my beloved one, a little resort with no big shopping malls but yet u can spend the whole time soaking under the sun, strolling down the beach, have a wonderful dinner and enjoy the sea breeze. I would want to go back in future, it s a holiday which is so different. Good place to laid back :)

The hotel is situated in Takiab Beach, six kilometers from Hua Hin Centrum.We stayed seven nights in a One Bedroom beach in front room, with a unique view over the sea.The Rooms are small, but it was incredibly clean and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a local area with a fish restaurant as nabour.Very peaceful and quiet For several days we were the only Europeans on the hotel.The other guests were Thai People. The hotel can definitely be recommend, especially because of its location. We hope to return. Remember mosquito repellent. With Best Regards Karin Kjærgaard

What a treasure this little place is. The location on the main road to Kao Takiab is ideal, if you don t want to be too close to the big resorts and the area feels very Thai. The room we had (deluxe) was big, painted white with a beautiful teak floor and had a king-size, four-poster bed slap bang in the middle with really romantic mosquito net curtains. TV with BBC 24hrs, cheap mini bar, good breakfast, lovely staff and just a few yards to the beach. OK,as others have said, the tide does come right in but the views along the beach are spectacular and its only a short trek up the beach to beach beds, umberellas snackbars etc. I would come back here any time.
